A Minnesota State High School League occurs as voluntary, non-profit association of public and common soldier schools by using the history of service to Minnesota's high school youth since 1916.

History
A Minnesota State High School League wwhen 1st organized inside 1916 as a State High School Athletic Association. Its primary purposes were (One) to promote amateur sports & (Ii) to establish uniform eligibility system for interschool contests.
Around 1929 it broadened its scope by including all interschool athletic activities & added speech & debate. At that period a title was changed to the Minnesota State High School League. Music was added inside 1965 and Girls Athletics in 1969.
A League has existed as a non-profit-making, voluntary association of the public senior high school since its origin. Inside 1960 it was officially incorporated under the laws of the State of Minnesota as a non-profit-making corporation.
